What Reede is.

Reede holds the matter, not just its documents. A matter records the parties, the facts, the dates, the correspondence, the signatures and the documents together, and every other feature works from that one record.

• Intake. Upload a document of any kind and Reede extracts the structured data from it: names, dates, amounts, addresses, parties. You confirm it rather than retype it.
• Drafting. Agreements, letters, forms, resolutions and registers are generated from the data already on the matter. Every output is marked DRAFT for review.
• E-signature. Signing is built into Reede. Clients sign in a browser, and the executed copy returns to the matter and is filed against it.
• Key dates. Reede tracks filing deadlines, contract renewal and notice windows, closing dates, outstanding signatures and unpaid invoices across every open file.
• Calendar and time. A firm calendar holds events alongside the dates a matter turns on, and a running timer records time against the matter it belongs to.
• Billing. Invoices, expenses, a client payment portal, and a record of what is still outstanding.
• An assistant. You can describe a task in chat and Reede will carry it out against the file. You set how far it goes on its own, from suggesting to drafting to doing.

Every workflow can also be completed entirely by hand. The AI features are accelerators. None of them is a required step.

Legal teams in Canada. Paralegals, notaries, law clerks, legal assistants, conveyancers and the lawyers who sign off on their work. It is built for solo practitioners and for firms up to about thirty people.

Reede was built by a practicing paralegal rather than by a software team working from interviews.

Most of them open a workflow built for that matter type, which walks through what to capture and drafts the package at the end. Anything not on the list opens a working file built from what you describe, with a checklist, documents, notes and drafting.

Canada. You choose the jurisdiction on each matter, and the forms, defaults and statutory references follow that choice rather than a generic template.

Quebec is treated as a civil law jurisdiction under the Civil Code of Québec, not as a common law agreement with the terms renamed.

Prices are in Canadian dollars. All AI processing is included in every plan. There is no per-document metering and no per-seat billing.

• Per matter: $99 for one full workflow, however many documents that workflow produces. The first matter is $49. There is no subscription and nothing recurring.
• Firm plans: flat monthly pricing for the whole firm, starting at $289 per month for one to five people, $489 for six to fifteen, and $889 for sixteen to thirty. Larger firms are priced by arrangement.
• Students and instructors: $19 per month or $149 per year, by application.

Customer data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is logged. The primary datastore is held in Canada.

Reede uses Anthropic's Claude for its AI features. Anthropic is contractually prohibited from using customer inputs or outputs to train models. AI calls are made server-side only, never from the browser.

Reede is software. It is not a law firm, it does not practice law, and it does not give legal advice. Using it does not create a lawyer-client relationship. Every document it drafts is a draft for a qualified person to review.

Reede does not do trust accounting and does not move money. It records billing and tracks what is owed. It is not a minute book product, though it keeps minute books; the minute book is one record among several that a matter updates.
